Poker is a game of fun and recreation but when it turns into passion and then into addiction no one understands. So it is better to accept the game just as a piece of recreation and do not get involved too much and think again and again about the money you lost while playing with clay poker chips.
In fact poker fits in extremely well in the proverb, ‘no risk no gain.’ This is true but the risk that you take should not be at the cost of your family and its needs. If you have a passion for the game, set aside a bankroll that you can afford to lose in the game of clay chips and then forget about it.
Playing with clay chips is a part of gambling, so luck is involved in it undoubtedly. You cannot deny the fact that no one wins here every hand. So be prepared for that before you start playing and then play with discipline and responsibility. Remember that poker is a game of mind that involves calculations and probability.

Recently, Texas Hold’ Em has become the single most-played poker game in casinos, poker clubs and on online poker sites. Because of the three community cards that every player gets to see, there are less variables in work during each hand, which makes it seem like a more predictable poker game.
The highly televised World Series of Poker and the very popular TV show Celebrity Poker Showdown have also made it a more approachable poker game. Viewers learn the game and become comfortable with the rules as they watch. The successful poker players on the World Series of Poker, for example, have become celebrities in their own right and have further popularized the game.
Being observational is key to accumulate poker chips. What I find is that focusing on this area for me morphs poker from a card game into a people game. It adds a fun dimension. I have found a good way to discipline myself on this is to never look at my cards until it is my turn. Instead, I watch each individual player as action moves around the table towards myself. If you do this your brain has no choice but to subconsciously store the information in the memory banks. This technique is actually two fold. It helps you pick up on more data. It also prevents anyone who acts before you to see your reaction to your cards.
One would be surprised at the volume of information that can be derived by simply watching an opponents eyes or how they handle a clay chip. I have found that the biggest pots I have won were not because I had AA or KK. They were because I had observed something particular about an opponent and then I exploited that at the right time. Master this skill and your cards literally will not matter. Ironically in the long run you will find that this skill learned at the game of poker will be even more beneficial to one in the game of life.
